The European Documentation Centre (EDC) in Taylor Library receives studies, reports, journals and pamphlets on a wide range of subjects from the Publications Office of the European Union as part of its contract with the European Commission.  All material received in hard copy is catalogued and added to Primo. However in addition to providing hard copies to EDCs the Publications Office also provides free access to material electronically via the EU Bookshop.

Increasingly, there is a move to electronic only publishing so there are thousands of titles freely available on the EU Bookshop which do not appear on Primo. Subjects include the economy, energy, the environment, law, trade and transport.

Check it out.

If however you still can’t find what you are looking for – do it the old fashioned way and visit us in person at the EDC Office and we’ll help you find the material you need.

An app containing lots of useful information on how to use the card and what it covers is available from the App Store (for iPhone owners), Google Play (for Android users) and the Windows Marketplace (for those with phones running Windows)
